No dryer yet...

I was hoping that Richard would feel motivated to go out today and buy a new dryer, but he didn't. He's having pain in his chest wall that was recently diagnosed as pleurisy, but hasn't responded to treatment, so he was waiting by the phone for the doctor to call back (he didn't).

Now we're both heading out to Marscon.

What is pleurisy? Is it managable or curable with medication?

It's an inflammation of the pleural sac, which surrounds the lungs. Usually it goes away on its own. Richard has been having pains in his chest wall for about 18 months, which frankly makes me wonder about the pleurisy diagnosis. It's gotten abruptly worse in the last two weeks, which is why he went to the doctor. Doctor prescribed 5 days of prednisone, which didn't help noticeably.
