It wasn't a very nice day for a bike ride, but I finally got the handlebars more or less the way I wanted them and the bike computer intalled, and I just wanted to try it out. I think the ride position is going to work out fine - I have about half a dozen hand positions now, which should help with the hands-falling-asleep thing. I'll need a little more time to get used to the new seat, but I think it will be very comfortable once I do.
It was fun accessorizing the bike last night. I dragged it into the dining room where the was light and music, and Richard helped me figure out the bar wrap and install the new computer. This time I decided to splurge on a wireless model, since I'm tired of wires twining all over the front of the bike, getting in the way, and breaking. I wasn't at all convinced it would work, however, and it was really exciting when it did. I got this weird Trek model that has a reverse LCD screen (grey on black) that is supposed to be easier to see in daylight. It's darn hard to see the display with indoor light, so I was apprehensive about it. But it turns out that it IS easier to read in daylight. Looks cool too. And it tells the temperature as well as the time!
