Twins are gaining like gangbusters!

The boys were back to their birth weights 8 days after birth, which is excellent (typically newborns lose weight for a few days after birth and then kind of amble back to their birth weights by 2 weeks). Now, at 12 days, they are at 5lb, 5 and 5lb, 6 oz and gaining about an ounce a DAY. The hospital staff is now giving a cautious estimate on when they can go home - probably "this weekend." Richard and I are following our usual Thanksgiving routine - we fly out on Thursday and then we all have the big Thanksgiving meal on Friday. That seems like a pretty inconvenient time for the hospital to decide to release the babies, so that seems like the most likely possibility to me.  

ETA: 6pm.  Amber reports that Harris has "sneezed out his feeding tube" and the nurses decided that he was bottle feeding well enough that that will just leave it out. Both babies managed to finish 3 full bottles today, which apparently is better than on target. Go babies!
