If you had the stamina to watch the entire video of Amber and Lena playing storycube you may recall that Mommy introduced a helpful talking fish to fill in a few holes in the plot. Lena liked that innovation so much that when Richard and I did a storycube adventure with her over Skype a few weeks later she introduced a talking fish of her own to help some stranded kid astronauts get home from Mars.

So the next time we Skyped I told her the story of the Fisherman and the Flounder, which she declared an AWESOME story. In fact, she was so caught up in the story that she asked even before the fisherman's wife did why on earth he hadn't asked the flounder to make them king and queen. After the story finished up I asked her what she thought the moral was and she shouted, "Don't ask for too much!"  Which is more or less what I always thought it was about (although you can make a case for other less appealing morals like, "Don't listen to your wife.")

Anyway, I'm usually not great at telling stories and was pleased that it was such a success. Any ideas for the next story?
