I've taken classes at several different surburban ice rinks: Bloomington, St. Louis Park, and Minnetonka. Other places that I know of that offer adult classes include Eden Prairie, Prior Lake and a figure skating club that uses the rink at Augsburg (I've been curious about that one, but it has never quite fit my schedule).
The ice dancing class is at Minnetonka on Wednesday nights. They have a range of adult classes at the Minnetonka rink: beginner, intermediate and advanced figure skating as well as the ice dancing class. I like this venue because: 1)classes run from 8-9:30 pm, which is PAST RUSH HOUR. Yeah, it's kind of a long drive for me, but not having to do it in rush hour traffic makes up for that. 2) You can practice on unused portions of the ice during the hour you're not in a class and 3) no kids on the practice ice.
Do you skate already, or are you thinking of taking beginner classes? Either way, it's about the most fun you can have while also getting an amazing amount of exercise!
