Memorial Weekend - plan for Saturday

  • Get up and have breakfast. *check*

  • Sit in swing in back yard and read funnies *check*

  • Look for neighborhood sales in classifieds *jackpot!* - sales in both East Harriet and Kenney!

  • Pump up bike tire (must patch that tire some day)

  • Bike around leisurely to yard sales until it gets too hot

  • Attempt to fix that little picnic table in the garage

  • Start at least one outdoor painting project - maybe start priming the front steps?

  • Put A/C in bedroom window

  • Futz around with web pages

TONIGHT - going to this show: The Transdimensional Couriers Union at the People's Center on the West Bank. Walking Shadow Theatre Company has been responsible for several of the best Fringe shows ever: last year's Squawk, the Shakespeare Zombie one, the walking ghost story/mystery in the empty condo. It's the last day for this show - if you're not doing anything tonight you might want to give it a shot.

I remembered that you had recommended this show when I ran across it yesterday, which is one reason I impulsively decided to go see it. Thanks for the recommendation. I've liked everything else these guys have done, so I expect this one will be no exception.

Is it air conditioned in that theater? [trying to decide what to wear.]

I don't recall the theater being either hot or cold, so considering it's on the third floor, it's probably climate controlled. Parking is sort of like Fringe parking (it's not in any of the Fringe venues, but nearby).

Aside: I just (in today's mail) got confirmation: I'm in MinnesotaCare. I have health insurance for the first time in more than a decade... and just in time, too. Assured Access runs out... today.

Good to hear (about MinnesotaCare). Now I just pray that program doesn't get whacked. A lot of people I care about, including my son, depend on that program for their health care.
