They couldn’t have been spies--look what she did with the hydrangeas

Russian spies are back!

It's like the comfort food of the newscasting world for someone of my generation. Boris and Natasha spending a decade in deep cover in a New Jersey suburb. PTA meetings alternating with superspy equipment, handoffs of identical briefcases, coded messages in their Facebook pictures, and even good old invisible ink. And after all that, they don't seem to have actually infiltrated anything or obtained any important information.

Wow. Apparently spies can also be good gardeners. Now we know.

I especially loved "one defendant who is not in custody, Christopher R. Metsos...."

Wasn't there a short-lived sitcom about this a while back where the sleeper agents had been here so long, and were so immersed in their middle-class American lives, that they'd almost forgotten they were supposed to be spies?

Are you sure they didn't pick this story up from The Onion?!
