Spring is like speed

Spring makes me crazy, but in a good way. I start scurrying around like a gerbil, frantically cleaning, sorting, moving things from one place to another. I'd get a lot done if I could just focus. My appetite drops in general, and I start craving salads and fruits instead of things like Swedish meatballs and beef stew. And I can't get to sleep. I don't sleep well under the best of circumstances, but even less well during the Spring Change. Fortunately the methamphetamine-like action of the spring air keeps me going, sleeping or not. Somehow I managed to go back to work the week after Minicon and work 10-hour days all week without getting a single full night's sleep until the weekend. Did the same thing the following week. I think I'll go take a bike ride before this wears off!

The spring effect

Ah, yes. Don't you just love natural speed? Add a little caffeine and a gal could conquer the world! My only trouble is that I must remind my self to stop moving and take a shower and regroup, or else I will practically go up in flames. And usually, the next day I am totally gobsmacked and useless. This weekend was glorious for that type of frantic energy. I am looking forward to a bikeride together.

The energy hasn't hit me yet, but I am getting into the pre-packing tasks of cleaning out closets and sorting out stuff to throw or give away. I recall the Beverly Hillbillies show, where Granny emptied out every room of the mansion and had stuff strewn over the lawns...
