Richard is moving today

dreamsharkGot a call a couple of hours ago that R's surgeon finally showed up and pronounced the patient ready to leave. Walker Methodist has beds and is covered by our insurance, so that's where he's going. But insurance does NOT cover transport between these two insured patient care institutions, so I'm supposed to head over to the hospital and drive him. This is good news, since the sooner he is settled at the Transitional Care Unit the sooner we'll know if it is really working for him. If he's comfortable and clearly progressing by the end of the weekend, I think it will be okay for Amber and I to fly to Europe. Till not counting those particular chickens, though - we'll see how the transition goes.
