There are two shows tonight that I would very much like to see, but most likely we will only make it to the first. In that case, I will try very hard to hit the 2nd one on Sunday, its last performance.

8:30 PM: London After Midnight: Victorian Tales of Crime and the Supernatural DELETE
presented by Hardcover Theater
MCTC Whitney Studio (1424 Yale Place)

10:00 PM: The President, Once Removed DELETE
presented by Fifty Foot Penguin Theater
Minneapolis Theatre Garage (711 Franklin Avenue West)

We did manage to break the driving-to curse last night (although just barely, since we drove to the wrong theater first, then ran back to the car and drove 1/2 mile up Franklin to the Acadia Cafe). We saw two in a row there, both excellent. Unfortunately, the same could NOT be said for the air-conditioning, which cannot begin to handle a sold-out show in that venue. Be warned. The two we saw were

THACO - a very funny presentation of 4 very recognizable RPG types attempting to get a gaming session together. This one may not have been quite sold out, but if not it was close. A little surprising, since it's aimed at a kind of niche audience. But the theater isn't really very big and there are a LOT of gamers.

Wisconsin Pentacostal - also very good, and completely absolutely sold out with quite a few turned away.
