I recently complained on LJ about how useless Craigslist is for finding garage sales, and quility pointed me to a website/app called GSALR. That worked great! I quickly found the Longfellow Neighborhood sale with the online app, then downloaded the phone app for use on the road. Eileen and I repurposed our weekly morning walk to the sale neighborhood and it worked great (other than the miserable weather, but what can ya do?) By the time it got too hot to move I had found a Mickey Mouse riding toy for just $1 and whole bag of toddler clothes. So yeah, use GSALR!

yay

I have given up going to garage sales on the grounds that I have Too Much Shit already. In token of that, I resolutely stayed away from the Richfield city-wide garage sale a few weeks ago.

On the other hand, if you happen to come across someone selling a spinning wheel, I would be interested in a phone call -- I think you have my cell number.

I stopped saling for a few years too on the same grounds. But now I have a grandchild to buy for I have an excuse to start again. Baby clothes are ridiculously expensive if you buy them new.

I don't think I have ever seen a spinning wheel at a sale, but if I do I will call you.
