Normally a team has to win three games to qualify for the Super Bowl. Because the Vikings did so well in the regular season, they didn't have to play that first game. (IIRC, four teams get a bye, and eight teams -- of which four are wild card teams -- have to play each other in single-elimination.)
This was only the second game. In the very unlikely event that they beat the Philadelphia Eagles at the Eagles' home field, then they will play in the Super Bowl in their own stadium -- a thing that hasn't happened in the entire history of the Super Bowl.
I am hopeful, but not confident.
(I don't really follow football, but I follow the Vikings and, as of a few years ago, watch all the playoff games.)
