Well, that shouldn't offend any racial or ethnic groups, anyway
The Washington Commanders. Huh. Kind of bombastic, but probably inoffensive. Certainly better than DCFC, which believe it or not was one of the top contenders. RedWolves was clever, but probably would've annoyed the people who were most offended by the previous name because the first syllable was still the same. And choosing a name with an embedded capital would probably end up looking as dated as all those tech firms from the 90's with all the X-Y-Z stuff (Xylan, ZyXel, Xytech, etc.)
I was kind of hoping that they would follow the linguistically inventive lead of the Minnesota Wild and go with an adjective instead of a noun, like The Washington Furious.
