Did I sound like I was complaining? It was great! Much like the last time we had a heavy rain (like, a month ago?) I was struck by how much people seem to enjoy sudden hard rain squalls, at least when they get to watch them from a sheltered location. Besides the drama, I think it's the same euphoric effect you get from sitting by running water. Something about negative ions in the air, I believe.
