Why FIT and not Cologard? A quick read says that FIT only tests for the presence of blood and cologard actually looks for signs of cancer.
I just had my physical yesterday, and my doctor insisted that at age 45 I should really get a colonoscopy and not just do cologard. I think he said that he'd be ok with using cologard as interim tests after a negative colonoscopy, before the 10 years are up to be due for another colonoscopy. So he didn't exactly present it as an alternative, but an addition. Although we also got the impression that if someone flat out refused to do a colonoscopy, he'd recommend cologard as better than nothing.
