Whee! It's snowing! [but not twelve feet]

Yes, indeed, we got an inch of snow last night and... at least another inch today. Apparently the local weathercasters are practically sputtering with excitement over the possibility of a WHOLE FOOT OF SNOW!! Weather.com, where I usually get my weather news, is much more sedate, quietly predicting 4-6 inches tonight and 1-3 inches tomorrow. Which could add up to a foot if you take the high end of both predictions and round up from the maybe 2.5" we have so far. I'm excited to see snow again, although I could do without the underlayer of sleet and the brisk wind. Driving is actually pretty treacherous. But still.... when other parts of the country have been reporting things like this, it's kind of embarrassing to see how desperate Minnesota is to stay in the weather news.
