"This is Grace.... Can you hear me?"

The correct answer? No answer. Has anybody else been getting those puzzling calls that start with, "This is Grace, hearing administrator on a recorded line. Can you hear me?"

Usually I hang up the phone as the first words of a robocall start rolling out, but this one is so puzzling that I have been staying on the line for a few seconds to see what happens next. Nothing, that's what. After about 5 seconds of dead air, "Grace" hangs up. I finally googled it. Well guess what. It's a scam. A scam to capture one more piece of your personal data that you didn't even realize was valuable - your voice saying "Yes."
