I listened to KFAI right through the end of some excruciatingly boring musician interview and over the top of the hour into "Urban Folk" and there wasn't a single announcement of any kind. Considering the dubiousness of the weather I would've expected an announcement either way, but I guess HOBT expects their followers to have faith.

Well, this doesn't look like the year for a big picnic. We'll be there, draped in ponchos, with our sandwiches packed in something waterproof. Rather than camping out by the lake, I think I'll just join the crowd watching the parade come in. I'm going to see if I can find some way to be colorful and decorated, but at the same time rain and windproof. Weatherproofing is going to take precedence however.

There was an announcement around 11:40 that the parade will go on. We would have never noticed and turned off the radio but the Urban Folk ended up being a tribute to Woody Guthrie and I got hooked. But I couldn't agree more with the boring musician before comment. Yikes.

If they say they'll announce at noon, they shouldn't do it at 11:40.
