ambertatge and thorintatge are visiting my mother in Sedona, Arizona. Amber just called me on her cell phone to say that they were milling around the parking lot at Fay Canyon looking for the trailhead, and she wondered if I remembered where it was. As it happens, I did. "It's on the other side of the street," I told her. "Across a dry wash. We had trouble finding it too."

Unrelated from the above, I started thinking about something that happened last yeat, when the Isreali Prime Minister had his stroke. I was walking downtown, and passed a woman looking down at one of the newspaper boxes with a confused expression on her face. She looked over to me, pointed at the headline that read, "Sharon In Coma", and asked, "Sharon who?

I explained.

I found all those headlines about "Sharon" a little startling myself. I kind of liked the ones that said things like "Sharon takes hard line."

Dog Gonnit! Love cell phones! Shamelessly, but with reasonable usage. Especially text messages from children studying abroad just to say "Hi Mom - I miss you!" in the middle of the night.
