... or, as
barondave puts it, choreography. Using the online scheduling tool on the Fringe website I have come up with a rough draft of our plans for Aug 2-13. If anybody wants to take a look, email me and I'll give you my password.
Right now, when I logon and look at my schedule this little comment pops up at the top: "OMG! You're seeing 38 shows!" Cute. Not really that bad, though. It's more a list of possibilities than a true schedule, and the shows I most want to see show up 2 or 3 times. Briefly, the plan is like this:
Thursday (Aug2) : drop in to
mmagidow's gallery opening and then see one show in the Northeast area (actually, I'm leaning towards this one, which is technically Southeast, but close to the gallery).
Friday (Aug3): 3 shows in the Uptown area. Last year I did Friday on my own or with friends, but this year Richard is planning to skip out on his own game party to join me.
Saturday (Aug4): Downtown and West Bank.
Sunday (Aug5): Mostly West Bank, but hoping to tack on the 10pm showing of John and Abigail at Bryant-Lake Bowl.
Monday evening is reserved for just one thing: Macbeth's Awesome Scottish Castle Party. This is clearly the must-see event of the festival and will likely require reservations.
Tuesday: back to Northeast for 3 shows in a row at The Ritz
Wednesday: Not sure what to do with this one. There are two shows I really want to see, and they are both at 7pm.
Thursday: Probably back to Northeast/West Bank area. I really want to see this one, and I'm having a hard time fitting it into an itinerary.
Friday: back to the Uptown area, cause it's close to home, and I'll prolly be on my own that night.
Saturday (Aug11): same general plan as the first Saturday - big bike circle through downtown, over to the West Bank, and then back home to finish up with (maybe) one more in the Uptown area.
Sunday (Aug12): Whatever's left over that we really want to see.
