We're starting slow tomorrow with a single show in Southeast/Northeast Mpls. That will most likely be Flawed Genius at 8pm.

However, if we get started later than expected for the pre-theatre art event, our fallback for the evening is
Robert Anton Wilson's Masks of the Illuminati at 10.

Friday we start to hit our stride with 3 shows in the Uptown area. We'll be biking to those. Here's the Friday plan:

8:00 PM
The Book of Pops
Presented by Theater Zero at Bryant-Lake Bowl

10:00 PM
The Cody Rivers Show: Flammable People
Presented by The Cody Rivers Show at Minneapolis Theatre Garage

11:30 PM
An Intimate Evening with Fotis; The Taller Side of Ferrari McSpeedy
Presented by The Importance of Being Fotis at Minneapolis Theatre Garage

One of the advantages of the Bring Your Own Venue shows, eg Flawed Genius, is that they are at odd times so one can get to another show. Maybe this is a disadvantage, if you're trying to pack 'em in. I may very well see the Illuminati show as well as FG. By that time at night, parking is okay around Cedar/Riverside.

Neither of those shows is near Cedar Riverside, actually: they're both across the river.

And the odd starting time for Flawed Genius is a disadvantage, as I have something I want to do before the show and would find it easier to schedule if it started at 8:30.

Hmm... you're right. I was working on Friday eve, where I want to see the William Shakespeare thingie at the Bedlam Theater Parking Lot at 7 followed by All The Things I Never Told My Mother (one of the few previews I marked To See at the Fringe For All) at 10 at the Cedar Cultural Center. Still a preliminary schedule, but if I do it right I can park in one spot for free, see both shows and have dinner in between. Or something.

That's six shows in two days following the Ootie Showcase tonight.. and this Saturday I'm unencumbered by Shockwave and could get to four or more... I feel burn-out happening already...

I have a gaming con this weekend that I'm judging at, so my Fringe is off to a slow start. I may try to hit Mind Tripping today soon (5:30), before tonite's game. There's a remote chance I might make Illuminati if we're done by 10:00. I might then check out Evening with Fotis.

Otherwise, my current plan is to skip out on gaming Sun afternoon and see We'll Survive if We Don't Protect Ourselves at 2:30, then spend most of the rest of the night camping out at the Playwright's Cntr for: An Immigrant's Tale; Bye,Bye Beirut; I Hate Kenny G; and Monster Movies with My Undead Dad. The last 2 are definite must sees for me.

As I'll have an UltraPass this year again, I plan to see a bunch of shows. I'll try to be better about posting reviews (I only did about half of the shows I saw last year.)

If you happen to make it to Illuminati tonight, look for us.

Will do. There's only a tiny chance that I'll make it in time, but I'll be in NE, so it's at least possible.

Since I'm almost ready to leave the house, I should make Mind Tripping at 5:30 -- not usually my thing, but that's the venue that makes sense! And part of the point of Fringe Ultrapass is to see stuff I wouldn't normally...
