I finally got an account on Craigslist, something I've been putting off for a long time. I have lots of stuff to get rid of around the house, starting with my old bike Rocinante and Amber's old piano.

I got signed up and put up an ad for Rocinante ($25). Within 10 minutes I had a response! Wow.

Let us know where your listings are. Squeaky often bugs us to get a piano.

Hey, if you want the piano you can have it. I was just going to list it for free. It's a perfectly decent old upright piano, dark finish slightly beat up. Holds tuning pretty well, but a couple of the keys are sticking so it needs a tuneup. It's actually Amber's SECOND piano, the one we paid a few hundred dollars for back in the day (used).

Free, except that you'll either have to pay somebody to move it or show up with a VERY strong move crew and ramps to get it down the front steps. Let me know if you're interested, 'cause otherwise it goes on Craig's list.

Holy cow!

It's sold. This nice polite young guy called, came right over, handed me $25, and went off with Rocinante. *sigh* It's sad letting go of a once-beloved bike, even though I haven't ridden it more than a handful of times since 1995. I'm glad it found a good home, though.

I typed in the Craigslist listing at 12:15. Less than two hours later I had the cash in hand and the bike was gone.
