Catching up...
Nov. 10th, 2007 03:01 pmLast time I posted was 3 weeks ago. I'm sure lots of stuff has happened since then, but what? Possibly the last biking weather of the season (which I made use of by taking my extra bike to the new plant in Shakopee and exploring on lunch hour). Various dislocations and celebrations at work: fun and games with the new "smart building" (smart in the Hal 9000 sense of the word), a surprisingly pleasant happy hour, a few people leaving the company, lunch at a colleague's house. Halloween. A trip to Sedona to see my mother.
It's a very dismal November Saturday. It's the kind of day where the best you can hope for is the satisfaction of checking things off your todo list, so of course I started out by putting a bunch of stuff on the list so I'd have something to check off. Sort, label and crop pictures from the trip: check. Walk to the nearest mailbox to send back a Netflix: check. Archive email I'm tired of looking at: check. Going outside again is not very appealing, but if I do that I can check off THREE items: stop at drugstore for ibuprofen and antihistamine, go to gym, and stop at Best Buy for a DVD burner. Then I can work on a 4th item - back up old podcasts on DVD so I can delete them from my increasingly crowded C drive. Okay, that sounds good. I'm going.
