I'm sitting here at my computer listening to the Allman brothers coming out of 5 little speakers in a circle around me. It sounds pretty good, although not quite as awesome as I had been led to believe. Of course, if I didn't have plugged up ears I might be able to appreciate the surround sound a little more. I also discovered while poking around in my sound card setup that I had never actually installed the updated drivers I downloaded a year ago. I did that, hoping one more time that this will be the key to stopping the iTunes hangs. My office is also substantially cleaned up, although I really shouldn't stop there. I've now got large empty areas on and under various work surfaces interspersed with the same old cluttered mess. This doesn't seem right, but I'm not sure what I want to do about it.

We too have that checkered pattern of "neatly cleaned" and "same old cluttered mess". I think everything just sorta migrates throughout the season. I have a firm belief that if I just had enough space for all the stuff to have a permanent home, this would not be a problem. Strangely enough, I have never actually lived in a spacious enough abode for this phenomenon to occur. I suspect that it is largely a matter of moving goal posts.

Wow! I'm green with envy!

...two ears. I have managed to save myself from the expense and trouble of having surround sound from my computer based on this formula. Although it sure is nice for the TV!

So... I guess that means that you have more ears when you are watching TV than when you are on the computer? Nice trick if you can manage it. Can you also grow a third arm when you need it? That's what I want to learn to do!
