Not really on topic but Carl & Phyliss are getting a new computer with Vista on it. Any advice for these poor souls?

Don't do it. You can still get a computer with XP, at least until mid-summer. You can probably get a new computer with XP installed and a Vista install disk on the side for one you finally have to upgrade.
