Opting out - it's worth a shot

At the bottom of my most recent unsolicited credit card offer is a toll-free number to call to opt out of getting more of this junk. It's pretty limited - it only applies to "offers of firm credit and insurance" based on information from the 3 big credit reporting agencies. But it might cut down some on the junk, so I did it. It's supposed to be good for 5 years. It does use that creepy voice recognition system, but all you have to say is "yes" and "no" so it actually works.
