With my taxes, that is. I printed out all the little packets, including creating my own cover sheet for my file copy, since Tax Cut doesn't seem to have provided one this year (bastards). Now they just have to be signed and mailed.

Turns out we owe money this year. In fact... the infamous tax rebate will just about cover what we owe on the taxes. Oh well. That was one possibility I didn't even think of in my little survey.

Now I can start thinking about going over to Applecon for tonight's music party. It was chilly in the music room last night - I think I'll wear more layers this time. And I'm bringing a few floor cushions. There was nothing in the room to sit on except one not very comfortable upholstered chair and a bunch of far less comfortable straight chairs. And I'm wearing a hat with a brim to keep out the glare from the extremely bright overhead light in the middle of the room. Such an uncomfortable hotel. Nasty air, too. But the music last night was great, so I'm going bravely back.

Congrats on getting your taxes done! I'm sorry to hear that there will be no rebate windfall fun.

I think I'll still make a charitable contribution with it.

Your cushion was a good idea. I agree those rooms are not comfortable for those sitting and listening. I was tempted to pull the bed out of the wall but thought that would limit other seating for those who wanted a chair. Those rooms really need a sofa and or love seats.

I also found the air really super dry.

How was the temp Sat night? The guys were trying to adjust the heating and I thought it was better Saturday night but I was also running around which kept me warm.

I'm glad you came I hope despite a lack of certain comforts that you enjoyed the con.

Of course if the hotel hadn't screwed up, the music would have been in the other hospitality suite, right? That would have been much more comfortable. Although I dislike that hotel pretty intensely, I have to admit that the hospitality suites are very nice.

Hotel air is always dry, in my experience. My complaint about the air in that hotel is that it is poisonous. It's probably from the pool, which is the stinkiest hotel pool on the planet. All I know is, I get an instant headache when I walk in the building, and the air makes my eyes hurt, even up on the 13th floor.

I think it was warmer on Saturday. Unfortunately, I had dressed more warmly that night, so I found it kind of uncomfortable. It was probably perfect for most people. I didn't think it was too cold on Friday - it was just a little cooler than I was expecting when I got dressed.

I'm glad you came I hope despite a lack of certain comforts that you enjoyed the con.

I did enjoy it! Thanks so much for all your efforts!
