Finished the first West Wing disk (episodes 1-8). I am now totally addicted and am harrassing other family members to finish up another movie and send it back so we can get more West Wing.

Bend It Like Beckham - totally charming, which is not something I ever thought I'd be saying about a sports movie. Of course, it's not really that much of a sports movie, except in the sense that Billy Elliot is a dance movie. Didn't bother with the onscreen commentary, but the "Making of" special is short, sweet and definitely worth viewing. Especially if you weren't aware that the director/writer/creator of the movie is a middle-aged English/Indian woman. If you had any doubts as to the authenticity of the background, she lays them to rest.

I just looked at my Netflix queue, and I can't wait to see the 150 or so disks I have lined up.

It's quite exciting, really.

I'm working my Netflix queue pretty hard. I found _Bend it like Beckham_ on tape at a library though (one way to jump a queue) not knowing what to expect, and liked it a lot.

I never used to watch movies much; I really appreciated the ability with DVDs to zip back and forth, and turn on subtitles at any point - currenly I watch most everything with subtitles, as I have a problem (self-diagnosed) with audio processing, and don't comprehend dialog very well.
