I stopped at the hotel last night on the way home from work last night, and the Con seemed to be off to an energetic start despite the extra day tacked on the front. The hotel parking lot was already close to full, which I hadn't expected on a Thursday evening. Despite the fact that Richard and I were not officially hosting the Minicon Room Party on Thursday night, I ended up spending most of my time there. I kept going out on party tours, but always coming back to our chill-out room. Our basic room party theme from the beginning (Convergence#2) has been "A place where you can sit down!" This is something I always appreciate at a con like Convergence. So do a fair number of other people, judging by party attendance.
Tonight and Sunday, Richard and I are the official party hosts. So that means I really need to go back. Okay, fine, but not for a while. The weather is just too spectacular to spend the day shut up in a hotel.
Of course, so far I've spent the day at the computer, sorting digital photos and retroactively tagging LJ entries. This kind of thing probably explains the new hip bumper sticker I've been seeing around town: "Kill Your LJ"
