This review of the Cafe Agri exactly sums up my impression of the place.

...
In a nutshell, Agri's menu is every rural right-wing hunter's idea of where urban left-wingers eat, except, again, for the trout. If you have an uncle from Grand Forks who you would like to annoy, take him to Cafe Agri. He will scowl at the menu for a good long time, and ask questions like: "What the hell is 'tamari?'" and "What, is gluten poisonous now or something?"

That's a great review! The inclusion of incontrovertibly non-local produce like kiwi and mango seems particularly confused on their part.

That's a good (and interesting) review, thanks.

Will be interesting to read the comments on that post as they add up (already are some good ones).

Lots of people seem to be trying the place, based on the amount of cars we see parking on our block each night, but will be interesting to see if interest sustains. And I really do wonder what they'll be serving in the winter time if they make it that far (they could be freezing things in season, I suppose, but that would take a lot of space).

If by that you mean, "Where will they find local produce in the winter?" I imagine they will just find it the same place they found those "local" kiwis and mangoes.

Have you tried the place yet?
