Friday was the day the twins would have been born if they hadn't been so impatient - these days twins are usually induced at 38 weeks if they are still in utero. That would have been Friday the 13th of December. But they had pulled the trigger themselves on Nov 14, so instead of being born right now they are celebrating their one-month birthdays. They have grown nearly two pounds and an astounding two inches in length and have so far resisted getting the cold that has been bopping around the family for the past two weeks.

This is Leo, who continues to be the more active and impatient of the two. Leo was almost 7 pounds on Friday (undoubtedly over 7 by now). He is now the heavier of the two by 3 or 4 ounces, but Harris is still a half-inch longer.

This is still Harris's iconic pose, gazing with rapt attention at the Christmas tree or window.

Here they are waiting to be fed. Can you guess which one is Leo?

Like pretty much anything you teach to a 5-year-old you quickly have doubts about whether that was a good idea, especially when the reaction is something like, "From now on every time my Mommy and Daddy take a picture I'm going to photobomb it!!"  But so far she has restricted her new skill to situations where she is specifically invited to show it off. And clearly her little friend Olivia doesn't mind.
