Breakthroughs
Dec. 11th, 2019 09:54 amTwo great baby breakthroughs in the past few days. Suddenly both babies have learned how to HOLD THEIR OWN PACIFIERS, which is amazingly helpful when you find yourself alone with two hungry babies. (Don't judge: pacifiers are apparently now good for babies again, esp preemies who need to develop their suckling muscles. It can be hard to keep up with the pendulum swings in baby advice)
In an unrelated development, both boys have outgrown their preemie size sleepers! Newborn sizes are still a bit baggy, but fitting better every day.
ETA: Amber says that the one preemie sleeper we have in house was ALWAYS a little short for them, even though it claims to fit up to 7 pounds. Even though they were a little over 5 pounds at birth they were tall and had big hands and feet, like puppies. But it was possible to cram at least the slightly shorter baby into the preemie sleeper at first - now it is all but impossible.
