Home from Minicon

Home. Mostly unpacked except for untangling the bag of jewelry and hanging the necklaces and earrings back up. Exhausted. Found my cell phone. Archived about 300 pre-Minicon email messages.

Minicon was great. Size about the same as last year, maybe just a little larger. Lots of happy, mellow energy, problems few and quickly dealt with by Chairs and department heads. I'm happy with how Programming went. A few glitches, but mostly smooth. Guests of honor were awesome, which certainly makes Programming's life easier. Programming was my lifeblood and constant companion throughout the con but I still had time for some wonderful conversations with new friends and old. My son made me proud by taking over the con newsletter so I could do Programming without feeling like I was letting down the Bozo Bus tradition.

Updated my programming notes with lessons learned, ideas for next year, new people who might get involved, database requirements. Updated iTunes, read about AmazonFail, loaded new podcasts on my Shuffle. It's 56 degrees. I think I'll go for a bike ride.

You did a great job with Programming! I had fun on the panels I attended and the ones in which I participated, and it seemed like everyone else involved did, too. :)
