dreamshark... has the most swine flu cases of any state in the Union? Not per capita, but total number of cases? You might reasonably guess California or Texas, both big states with lots of traffic with Mexico. But you'd be wrong. Not even close, in fact.

Yup. It's our good neighbor to the east, Wisconsin. How many of you have the post-con crud? Maybe it's not just any crud. Maybe it's... something more.
I've been wondering if the peculiar disease I had over the last week might just possibly have been swine flu. Not because I was so terribly sick (I wasn't) but because of the odd progression of symptoms. I don't think I have ever before had a disease that started out with typical cold symptoms and progressed to "stomach flu." And the progression of the cold symptoms was peculiar - each symptom came on very suddenly and separately. I was considering the possibility that the gastric distress phase was something unrelated (e.g., food poisoning) but compared notes with the work colleague who had exactly the same initial symptoms that I did last week, and sure enough, hers ended up over the weekend with stomach flu too. Hmmm.
