I passed up the chance to go tubing on the Cannon River today because I thought the weather was too cool (I did the Cannon years ago when the temp was in the mid-80's and got really chilled). Normally on a day like this I would go on a long bike ride, but my knee still hurts. And I'm hot and sweaty, even though it's only 82 degrees.
I've thought of a compromise. Put on my tri-suit and a knee brace and pedal verrrry gently to the other side of Lake Harriet (where the mat of water-weeds isn't) and go swimming. This is what I bought the tri-suit for, after all. A lot of things could go wrong with this idea - ranging from making my knee worse to discovering that the north side of the lake is also full of disgusting water weeds. But it's so lovely out and I feel the need to do SOMETHING so I'm going to give it a try. *ulp*
