I may have to adjust things up. The fire department was just here 'cuz the alarms had gone off.

So we have a tornado without sirens, and fire alarms with no fire, and of course the afore mentioned sea monsters, & Lutherans. If this keeps up I expect there to be rioting after the Lutherans vote about gay clergy...

I saw that several days ago. I was walking around the lake at night, and stopped for some time looking at that outline. It reminded me of a character I used to play online--a Lapras, which is a type of Pokemon. I figured I'd come back to see if it was still there in the daylight. Not much clearer by sunset, it seems.

At night, when I couldn't see it clearly, I thought it was an upended boat with a decorative prow. Now I suspect it's one of the dinosaurs the city put out several years ago painted in different ways. There is (was?) one by the bandshell. Maybe someone got the clever idea that it would look like a Loch Ness monster when partly submerged. :}
