Lazing on a Sunday afternoon
Jul. 11th, 2004 07:15 pmRode over to Lake Harriet, a mile away, and around the lake. Weather just a little on the humid side of perfect. Some kind of impressive looking orchestra tuning up in the Harriet bandshell, but it lookd like it would be a while before they started so I rode on. Stopped at the Rose Garden to watch Stevie Ray's improv act - not quite as polished as Dudley Riggs, but good fun. On to Crema Cafe on Lyndale for an indulgent double-dip cone, eaten in their charming outside garden court. Home again, through quiet shady streets. The boulevard gardens are peaking - quite a show on every block. Sometimes I dream of living in the country, but on days like this I appreciate the city life.
