Olympic Hockey - Game of the Century!

dreamsharkOne part of me wants Canada to win another gold in the game they invented. They've been such good sports about everything - all that work hosting the games and then having to look silly in front of the entire world when they couldn't come up with enough snow and then they couldn't even make ICE. They haven't won very many medals so far, either; let 'em have their hockey gold.
On the other hand, my evil twin is rooting for the Big Game to be between Finland and Slovakia. Way too many of the pre-fabricated Olympic Stories have turned out exactly the way the media hoped they would: the broody American figure skater beats the broody Russian, the lovable "old" Chinese couple finally wins pairs skating, Lindsey Vonn gets her gold, Apolo Ohno just can't stop collecting medals, and so on. I'd LOVE to see them scrambling to come up with heart-warming back story videos for teams from two countries nobody even knew PLAYED hockey until last week. *heh*
I have no intention of watching the game, of course. I don't like team sports. I'm just following the totally synthetic meta-drama surrounding the actual events.
