Last Day of Freedom

Listening to rerun of yesterday's Prairie Home Companion. I still like the music a lot, but it's sad how the humorous skits have gone downhill over the years. Bit by bit, the sound effects man has taken over more and more of the show, much the same way that Snoopy gradually took over the Peanuts comic strip. Like Snoopy, a little bit of Tom Keith goes a long way.
Tomorrow is my first day at QLogic. I should be excited, but I'm mostly feeling a little apprehensive, and wondering how I managed to fritter away the almost two weeks I had off between jobs. I always have this list of mundane little projects I keep putting off, with the excuse that I'm too busy with work and all to get to them, and then when I'm not working I still don't get to them. I had a cold for the first half, and have been suffering with post-viral winter asthma ever since. Went skiing three times, but the third time definitely made the cough worse so I don't dare do it again. So I'm feeling down in the dumps, and not really enjoying my last day before returning to the daily grind.

Good Luck

things between jobs. Something new in your life will sometimes give you the energy for the other things. Also this winter has sucked for energy.
I've never had SAD's before but this winter I've really slowed down and
been unusually gloomy. I have hopes that spring will bring renewed energy. The projects will still be there in the spring :)
