Fringe plan for the final weekend

Man, Saturday looks bleak.  One West Bank show both Richard and I want to see at 1:00 but nothing after that until late in the evening - not worth hanging out all day on the WB for that. Okay, we've put together a plan.  Drive to Playwright Center for the 1:00 then home, then hit a few Uptown shows in the evening.

I know it sounds stupid, but so did "Show Goons."  It's gotten great reviews.

4:00  The Anton Kissbougel Technique

Richard isn't interested in this one, but since it's right in the neighborhood (and across from the ice cream shop) I just might check it out.

I'm a little dubious about this one, but Richard wants to see it and it's close to home.

SUNDAY - looks much better

Pretty all the remaining shows I want to see are lined up like sitting ducks on Sunday evening. This probably IS worth biking to the West Bank for.

This last one leaves us in the Rarig with one last chance to get into the Shel Silverstein show, which will undoubtedly be the Encore presentation in the Experimental stage.

Hmm... I tried to reserve seats for Anton Kissbougel, but it was sold out when I sent in the request this morning. Since that was a BYOV and I hadn't scheduled anything for the slot on either side, that leaves a big hole in the day. Oh well.

Speaking of reserve - did you know that it is possible to reserve seats for Fringe Encore performances even before the encores are announced? I reserved two for the Rarig Experimental (which is obviously going to be the Shel Silverstein show).

I also reserved for today's 1:00 "Don't Kill Me Killer Robots," just because the theater is small and there's nothing else nearby that we want to see if that one sells out.

Is there any way to tell from the Fringe website which shows have had sellouts? It seems to me that this used to be listed on the website, but I can't find anything official that gives that info - just random comments in reviews and blogs. The only shows that I know for sure have had sellouts were Shel Silverstein (every show, I think, including all advance reservations!), Damn Audition (but only because they don't count the balcony, which is a weird way to define a sellout), and Twilight.

I knew about the encore performance reserves (the house managers been announcing it before shows). They list the previous sell-outs in The Daily Fringe. I get that as e-mail (in the web site prefs), but don't know where that's listed. The most recent one I have (from Thurs) lists the sell-outs from Mon-Wed. They don't list upcoming sell-outs, to my knowledge.

I'm not burnt out, but I am getting tired. Five today, spread out, and only one tomorrow. I'll probably sleep all Monday.
