Attempting to DRIVE to a Fringe performance. Total disaster. After 20 minutes of circling blocks north of Loring Park in search of a parking place we realized that it was hopeless and went home. Might try again later for a show at Brave New Workshop. We checked out the parking situation on the way home from the failed Loring Park attempt and noted that there WERE still parking places on 26th St. a couple of blocks from the theater.

This is one of the reasons I didn't join you yesterday. On the other hand, I usually find a place to park, a block or two N of Hennepin (behind the car wash or even behind the parking garage). There better be one near Joe's Garage for the 10pm performance of Thirst tonight.

I managed to get driven, which was nearly as bad, but at least we had just the one car to park. [livejournal.com profile] hunnythistle and I went to the Acadia to see "Pentacostal Wisconsin" (funny and worth seeing if you like the sort of thing that presents evangelical Christians as peculiar curiosities), then drove to the Red Eye to see "Mythed" on your recommendation. (Loved it.) Then she went home and [livejournal.com profile] lsanderson, who'd turned up (so had [livejournal.com profile] barondave) and I went to the Women's Club, where we met up with [livejournal.com profile] minnehaha B. and we three saw "Magic Exists." Very clever magic, and good jokes.

No Fringing for me tomorrow, but what are you going to on Wednesday evening?

K.

Well, let me check My Fringe *cough*

Ooh, there are two that we very much want to see, but I'm not sure we can manage both on the same evening. We're planning to bus to the first one, and I don't see any reliable way to get from north Loring to Lyn/Franklin in 30 minutes. If we don't make it to the President on Wed, I'll try for the Sunday show.

8:30 PM: London After Midnight: Victorian Tales of Crime and the Supernatural - presented by Hardcover Theater
MCTC Whitney Studio (1424 Yale Place)

10:00 PM: The President, Once Removed
presented by Fifty Foot Penguin Theater
Minneapolis Theatre Garage (711 Franklin Avenue West)

You doing anything on Friday?
