So I signed up for a free month of Hulu Plus, more or less on a whim, because I wanted to watch "Last Man on Earth."  After a few episodes, I think I've had enough of that (clever setup but way too heavy on the potty humor). I've got 28 more free days here - what should I watch?

I checked out "Community" and enjoyed the first few episodes. Laurel, I looked for "Person of Interest," but it's not here. It's not anywhere, as far as I can tell. Not on Netflix, not on Amazon Prime. Not sure how anybody watches it?

I was hoping to find the current season of "Orphan Black," but no luck there. Oh, look, "Jane the Virgin." I've heard that's good. But... only the most recent 5 episodes???  WTF?  How exactly is this service supposed to be worth $8/month?  There's a limited list of shows with full seasons available, but there doesn't seem to be any way to search them except to scroll through big colored icons in what appears to be random order. The search engine mostly turns up links to network websites. Well, at least I won't be tempted to continue this subscription. In the meantime, I guess I'll just keep watching "Community," unless somebody's got a better suggestion.

I was enjoying Vikings until it went to the paid accounts only. I like cruising the movies. Have you seen Grimm?

Haven't seen Grimm. Would you recommend it? Richard and I are fans of "Once Upon a Time," which is another fairy-tale mashup.

I was thinking of trying "Vikings," but I think it's available on Amazon Prime.

Grimm is a monster of the week kind of soap/crime dramadrama. I liked it very much and wish they would make more. It looks like the actors all went on to bigger things.

meh. Not into monster-of-the-week. I like story arcs.

R and I took a look at Sleepy Hollow last night. It seems promising, although a tad overheated. Okay, more than a tad. If it settles down a little bit and lets go of the idea that you have to set off all the fireworks in the box every single week it could be good. It's kind of hilarious that it's described as "an updating of the Washington Irving story," which it totally is NOT. So far it seems to be more of an adaptation of the Book of Revelations.

It's also the perfect thing for the Hulu Plus experiment: available streaming only on Hulu Plus, but Netflix has it on DVD in case we get hooked.

I really hope they make Person of Interest more widely available this summer because for a show that requires you watch all the episodes, it's hard to track down. Near as I can tell, you can purchase it from iTunes or Amazon for streaming, but it's not available for free/included in a subscription streaming anyplace save for CBS' new streaming service but that only lets you watch X most recent episodes. Boo.

Community is great fun for at least the first couple of seasons, then it's more uneven due to behind-the-scenes changes and drama (but still good, just not as good).

I see Brooklyn Nine-Nine is on Hulu-- I was unsure of it early in season one, but the show improves as it goes and you get to know the characters and it becomes more of an ensemble show. Sitcom set mostly in a police station.

You mentioned Sleepy Hollow in comments-- lots of people really liked the first season quite a bit, though I never got around to it. Have heard grumbles about the most recent season, but that's how TV is sometimes.

Can I Stream It looks useful, though it was a bit slow when I tried some searches last night.

I should note that I am not interested in watching shows on my computer. I'm only interested in streaming services that I can bring in on my TV (which is hooked to a PS3).
