How do you link to another LJ entry?

Specifically, I want to make a link to one of my own past entries. Anybody know how?

1. Find the entry
2. Click on the 'Comment on this' link
3. Copy the resulting URL up to the question mark
for example:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/dreamshark/39333.html?mode=reply
becomes
http://www.livejournal.com/users/dreamshark/39333.html
4. Paste it into your post as a link
for example:
<a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/dreamshark/39333.html?mode=reply">This would be a link to that post</a>

which would look like this:
This is a link to that post

Oops. I forgot to trim the link (step 3) in the following steps. I blame it on the fact that I just woke up.
