If you are a fan of "Casablanca", I recommend the sequel "As Time Goes By". The story is strong and the reader is brilliant.

I'm quite fond of the Rivers of London books by Ben Aaronovich, and have listened to the first couple as audiobooks. The first one is Midnight Riot in the US.
