It's .... snowing. Isn't it always warm and beautiful here, with golden leaves drifting slowly to the ground? And now they're saying we may have a Hard Freeze tonight.

At least many sidewalks are miraculously dry. I am NOT ready for shovelling.

I felt the change coming in when lsanderson was kindly cutting down and then cutting up our unwanted volunteer trees on Thursday afternoon. It was balmy fall weather to start with, and then the wind started up and the sun went in, and most of the lengths he cut the tree trunks into for me to bundle for pickup are still out on the lawn. I hope to bundle them up next week when it's a little bit warmer. Also, I ordered some bulbs on sale in the fond belief that they would arrive promptly, and they are still on the way. Minnesota gets me every time.
