Hey, everyone. This is Sharon Kahn, executor of Dave Romm's will. I have sold his condo and must have it empty and ready for closing by the end of April.

Although tons of stuff has been hauled out of the apartment, there are still hundreds of CDs and books, random electronics, and personal possessions left. Before I start throwing things in the dumpster I would like to give Dave's friends and colleagues one more chance to provide the Last Best Home for his possessions. This is what Dave's brothers wanted, and I'm sure what Dave would have wanted; he was always so generous and loved to make people happy in the smallest ways. I could also use some help just hauling away clothes and household items for donations to thrift stores and the like.

I am planning to open up the condo to Dave's friends next weekend, Sat-Sun April 14-15, starting at 11am. I hope that a lot of people will show up. Bring boxes if you have them. If you are interested in the CDs, come as early as possible. The bags of CDs I brought to the memorial at Minicon disappeared in an eyelash blink. And someone from KFAI will be coming on Sunday afternoon to cart away all that are left.

You don't have to RSVP, but it would be nice to let me know if you are coming. If anybody can spare some time during the week, I'll be working on cleaning out the closets and so on. If you can help, let me know what time works for you.

The address is 1 West Lake St, Mpls, Apt 214. That's an apartment building on the southwest corner of Nicollet and Lake. The only entrance is in the back, in the Wells Fargo parking lot. Entrance is in the middle of the building, to the right of the door labeled "Immigrant Services." You can park anywhere unless there is a sign that says you can't. The outer door is locked so you will have to call me to get in. Unless someone opens the door for you, in which case you can come up to Apt. 214.
