Again at Dave's Apartment: Thurs Apr 20
Apr. 18th, 2018 01:44 pm Okay, the CDs are gone, but books remain. The focus of this session will be packing up books, so it might be your last chance to go through books in the wild on shelves and pick out ones you might like.
Other tasks that need doing are packing up clothes for donation, cleaning out closets and cupboards, sorting office supplies, and that kind of thing. Don't need any more large boxes, but could use more small to medium. Anything that would be too heavy to lift when filled with books or canned goods is too big to be useful. Some large black garbage bags would be handy also.
There are tons of empty CD shelves and racks free for the taking, along with general shelving suitable for books of all sizes.
There's a nice solid metal 2-drawer filing cabinet, now emptied and ready to give away.
We have also unearthed (fairly late in the game) an 8mm projector and a collection of old shorts and art films on 8mm film. We must know someone who would like this, but who?
I plan to start about 1pm, continuing as long as something useful is happening. Please let me know if you are planning to come and about when. Call or text before heading out to make sure I'm actually there, and call when you arrive to be let in.
