dreamshark 1-800-JUNK came on Friday to haul away the furniture and donation boxes. Then on Sunday I somehow spent almost 4 hours cleaning out a supposedly empty apartment and doing a final vacuum. Yeah, the carpet is shot and will be replaced, but nobody wants to see old mouse droppings in the corner on their final walk through.
Yesterday was the closing at Edina Realty. And it actually happened. The condo is sold. I will probably never set foot in that building again. It seems so weird - it's been practically my second home for so long.
A few minutes ago I sold the computer, which turned out to be worth a little too much to just GIVE away, but not enough to spend the rest lots of time dealing with it.
There's still some final paperwork to deal with (including disbursing the assets to the heirs, which some might say is the whole point). But essentially, I'M DONE!!! Thanks to all the wonderful friends and volunteers who helped along the way.
