Well, that was strange

 Got three scammy robo-calls today (on my landline) from the same number. Okay, that's not strange - pretty much par for the course. The weird thing was that according to my caller-id, all three calls were FROM ME. I get lots of robo-calls with numbers obviously spoofed to look like they are from my local exchange. But this is the first time I've seen the entire number spoofed.

Huh. I'm sure there's an interesting technical story somewhere on why that's even possible.

Not to mention the question of why anyone would want to do that in the first place. My theory is that it was a mistake - a badly programmed scambot. The scam, btw, is one that starts with "I-am-calling-from-Microsoft-your-authorization-will-be-cancelled-in-48-hours..."
