It worked for me -- or at least there;s a picture in this post. Whether it's the one you expected I don't know. It's possible that your problems are caused by an ad blocker or tracker blocker.
All I see is a small blurry corner of the top of the picture. The picture is there somehow, but is not resized to fit into the frame. One of the other things I hate about Dreamwidth is that the customizable features of one's "theme" interact in unpredictable ways with pictures. It took me a long time to come up with a theme that I found easy to read that also displayed other people's pictures correctly. Apparently it doesn't work on my picture, however.
ETA: When this entry cross-posted to Livejournal it displayed the full picture, although in an uncomfortably large format. Of course if I had posted it to LJ directly I would have used their simple embed tool to resize it to an appropriate size.
I clicked on the photo, or the part of it shown, and the whole thing just vanished. I don't really understand why Dreamwidth can't do a lot better with image handling.
